What have been changed in data:
Some countries total population 2004 figures were missing, I just input the missing ones
I calculated the 2023 priest country figures basing on the assumption of 2.9% increase in total global priests from 2004 to 2023, except China.
China 2023 Priest figure is taken from the news.
Assumption:
As I can't find the latest priest population by country data from Internet, I assume that there were no major movement of priests across different countries.
Findings:
For those countries with human trafficking problems, the Catholics population per Priests are normally very low. There are only a few hundred Catholics per priest .
Most of these countries, the Catholic population are dropping in 2023 except China which the Catholic population increased by 305%
Based on my assumption, the Catholics population per priests as of 2023 are also reducing.
Is there a correlation between human and child trafficking crime with Catholic Churches?
The truth is that the high density of Catholic Priests in those countries cannot help to ease the human trafficking problems.
