This incident occurred in February 2023 at an event in the Dalai Lama’s temple in Dharamshala where 100 young students who had just graduated from the Indian M3M Foundation attended.
This video has since gone viral and The Dalai Lama’s office has issued this statement: "His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras.”
