Narcissists will deny and lie about events, things they said and did, broken promises and betrayals they have engaged in to escape accountability. We call this “rewriting history”, which is a form of gaslighting of victims’ experiences.
They will often accuse their victims of lying, which is a malignant projection as narcissists are lying. By transferring their faults, shame and blame on to their victims they are “scapegoating” their victims.
They will often call their victims “crazy” to gaslight them, discredit them to others as part and parcel of their “smear campaign” to discredit their victim’s truth telling about the narcissist’s betrayals, abuses.
You aren’t “crazy”. You have a narcissist problem.
