作為北約成員國的克羅地亞，近月對西方所作所為作出了諸多批評，今年初，克羅地亞總統米拉諾維奇在接受媒體採訪時表示，美國和北約正在藉助烏克蘭對俄羅斯發動代理人戰爭。他還認為，美國和歐盟對俄羅斯實施的制裁措施毫無意義，不可能取得任何成果。
